Shopify automation that never counts your orders.
A busy store fires hundreds of events a day. Cronable turns each new order, product change or customer into a workflow without metering a single run, and reads orders, products and customers back for digests and stock checks.
A Shopify workflow on the canvas
Each card is one job. A wire means the next job runs when the one before it succeeds, or when it fails.

Every Shopify step Cronable ships
Actions
Steps a workflow can take in Shopify.Read the shop
Your store’s details. A quick connection check.
List orders
Up to 250 orders at a time, narrowed with Shopify’s own search syntax, such as financial_status:paid.
Get an order
One order by its ID.
List and get products
Read your catalog, or one product by ID, for stock and listing checks.
List customers
Your customers, filtered with the same search syntax.
Create a draft order
The one built-in write. A draft order is not a real order or a charge.
Custom GraphQL
Send your own Admin API query or mutation for anything else. You never have to write GraphQL for the operations above.
Triggers
What starts a Shopify workflow.Shopify webhook events
Pick an event and Cronable registers the subscription: an order created, updated, paid, fulfilled or cancelled; a product created, updated or deleted; a customer created or updated; a fulfillment; a checkout; the app being uninstalled. Prefer no public URL? Polling mode checks your shop on a timer and fires when an order, product or customer is created or changed.
Shopify workflows worth automating first
Daily sales digest
Each morning, list yesterday’s paid orders, let Claude write a plain-English summary, and post it to Slack. No dashboard to open.
Low-stock reorder alert
Read your products each morning, let a Code step keep anything under your threshold, and send a Slack alert plus a ClickUp task to reorder.
Order log in Google Sheets
Every new order fires the Shopify trigger and appends a row to an orders sheet your bookkeeper already uses.
Big-order heads-up
A Filter step checks each order’s total, and anything above your threshold goes to #sales with the customer’s name.
How you connect
Connecting Shopify
Shopify connects with an Admin API access token from a custom app on your store.
- 1Create a custom app in the Shopify Dev Dashboard, grant it only the Admin API scopes you need, install it on your shop and copy the access token (shpat_…).
- 2Store it as a bearer token credential and set your shop domain on the job.
- 3For the trigger, pick webhook mode and add the app’s client secret so every event’s signature is verified; events arrive through Cronable’s relay, from the Basic plan up. Or pick polling mode, which checks your shop on a timer and needs no relay and no public URL.
Your Shopify automation, on your own machine
Runs on your own machine
Install Cronable as a Mac or Windows app, or on a server you own. Your Shopify jobs, secrets and run history stay on that machine by default.
Built from one sentence
Describe the workflow in plain English and the built-in assistant builds the jobs, the schedule and the failure handling for you to review on the canvas. On every plan, including Free.
Unlimited runs
Plans count the jobs you define, not how often they fire. A job that touches Shopify every hour costs the same as one that runs once a month.
Credentials encrypted locally
Keys and tokens are AES-256-GCM encrypted in a local database, referenced from jobs by name and masked out of logs and run output.
Shopify automation, answered
Can Cronable trigger on new Shopify orders?
Yes. The Shopify trigger registers a webhook subscription for the event you pick, such as orders created or paid, and starts a run per event with the full order available to the next step.
What Shopify credentials does it need?
An Admin API access token from a custom app on your store, with only the scopes your jobs use. The trigger also takes the app’s client secret to verify each event.
Does every order count against a limit?
No. Cronable plans count the jobs you define, not runs, so a trigger job costs the same whether it handles ten orders a day or ten thousand. Each webhook trigger counts once toward your plan’s webhook allowance.
Can a workflow change my store?
Only by creating draft orders, or through a custom GraphQL mutation you write yourself. Every other built-in operation reads.
Where is my Shopify token kept?
Encrypted in the credential store on the machine running Cronable. It travels only in the X-Shopify-Access-Token header and is masked in run logs.
