Mailchimp automation that keeps your audience in sync.
Cronable adds new customers to the right Mailchimp audience as they arrive, pulls campaign reports into the places your team reads, and reacts when someone subscribes, unsubscribes or changes their details.

Every Mailchimp step Cronable ships
Actions
Steps a workflow can take in Mailchimp.Add a subscriber
Add an email address to an audience with a status, such as subscribed or pending, and merge fields like first name.
List audiences and members
Read your audiences, or an audience’s members filtered by status.
List campaigns
Read your campaigns.
List reports
Read campaign reports for opens, clicks and the rest.
Ping
Check the API key and connection.
Custom request
Any other Mailchimp Marketing API endpoint.
Triggers
What starts a Mailchimp workflow.Audience events
Give the trigger an audience ID and Cronable registers the webhook. Subscribes, unsubscribes, profile updates, email changes, cleaned addresses and campaign sends each start a run.
Mailchimp workflows worth automating first
Customers into your audience
Each new Shopify customer fires the trigger, Mailchimp adds them to your audience with their name as a merge field, and a failure alert goes to Slack.
Campaign report digest
The morning after a send, read the campaign report and let an AI step write the three numbers that matter into Slack.
Unsubscribes back to the CRM
The Mailchimp trigger fires on each unsubscribe and updates the matching HubSpot contact, so sales stops emailing too.
Form signups, double opt-in
A Typeform response adds the person as pending, so Mailchimp sends its own confirmation before they join the list.
How you connect
Connecting Mailchimp
Mailchimp connects with an API key you paste. No OAuth app.
- 1Create an API key in your Mailchimp account settings. Keep the data-center suffix, such as -us6, on the end.
- 2Store it as a bearer token credential in Cronable.
- 3For the trigger, pick the credential and set the audience ID; Cronable registers the webhook through its relay, from the Basic plan up.
Your Mailchimp automation, on your own machine
Runs on your own machine
Install Cronable as a Mac or Windows app, or on a server you own. Your Mailchimp jobs, secrets and run history stay on that machine by default.
Built from one sentence
Describe the workflow in plain English and the built-in assistant builds the jobs, the schedule and the failure handling for you to review on the canvas. On every plan, including Free.
Unlimited runs
Plans count the jobs you define, not how often they fire. A job that touches Mailchimp every hour costs the same as one that runs once a month.
Credentials encrypted locally
Keys and tokens are AES-256-GCM encrypted in a local database, referenced from jobs by name and masked out of logs and run output.
Mailchimp automation, answered
Can Cronable add subscribers to Mailchimp?
Yes. Add a subscriber puts an email into an audience with the status and merge fields you set. Other operations read audiences, members, campaigns and reports.
Can a Mailchimp event start a workflow?
Yes. The Mailchimp trigger listens to an audience and starts a run for each subscribe, unsubscribe, profile update, email change, cleaned address or campaign send.
Where is my Mailchimp API key stored?
Encrypted in the credential store on your own machine. Jobs refer to it by name and it is masked in logs.
Are Mailchimp webhooks verified?
Every hook URL carries an unguessable per-hook token. If you turn on Mailchimp’s HMAC signing, add the signing secret to the trigger and each event’s signature is checked too.
Will it send campaigns?
Not with a built-in operation; the curated write is adding a subscriber. Anything else in the Marketing API is reachable with a custom request.
Anything you do twice in Mailchimp is cronable.
Keeping lists in sync by hand is a chore. Keeping them in sync on a rule is cronable.
