cronable
Outlook integration

Outlook automation for Microsoft 365 mail and calendar.

Cronable works with your Microsoft 365 mailbox and calendar through Microsoft Graph. Read a folder of invoices, send the weekly report, create the meeting with a Teams link attached, all from workflows that run on a machine you control.

A Outlook workflow on the canvas

Each card is one job. A wire means the next job runs when the one before it succeeds, or when it fails.

What you can do

Every Outlook step Cronable ships

Actions

Steps a workflow can take in Outlook.
  • List messages

Read the inbox or any folder, with a search term or an OData filter, up to 1,000 at a time.

  • Get a message

Fetch one message by ID for a summary or extraction step.

  • Send mail

Send a message with recipients, Cc, a subject and a text or HTML body, and choose whether it is saved to Sent Items.

  • List folders

See your mail folders and their IDs.

  • Calendar events

With the Outlook Calendar job: list events in a date range, get one event, list your calendars, or create an event with attendees, a location and an optional Teams meeting link.

  • Custom request

Any other Microsoft Graph mail or calendar endpoint.

Triggers

What starts a Outlook workflow.

Outlook has no trigger in Cronable. Run an Outlook job on a schedule (every hour, every morning) with a filter for what is new, or chain it after another job.

Popular workflows

Outlook workflows worth automating first

01

Invoices folder to ledger

Each morning, read new messages in your Invoices folder, let Claude extract supplier, amount and due date, and append a row to your ledger sheet.

02

Weekly report by mail

A Friday job pulls the week’s numbers from your database or Stripe and sends the report from your own Outlook account.

03

Tomorrow’s agenda

Every evening, read tomorrow’s calendar events and send yourself a short agenda with prep notes from an AI step.

04

Meetings from bookings

When a form or booking comes in, create an Outlook calendar event with the attendee and a Teams meeting link.

How you connect

Connecting Outlook

Outlook connects with Microsoft OAuth, through an app you register in your own Microsoft Entra tenant.

  1. 1Register an app in the Microsoft Entra admin center; the Connect form walks you through the settings.
  2. 2Connect your account once from Settings → Secrets → Credentials with the mail or calendar permission. Your organization may require an admin to consent.
  3. 3Cronable stores the tokens encrypted on your machine and refreshes the short-lived access token automatically.
Why Cronable

Your Outlook automation, on your own machine

Runs on your own machine

Install Cronable as a Mac or Windows app, or on a server you own. Your Outlook jobs, secrets and run history stay on that machine by default.

Built from one sentence

Describe the workflow in plain English and the built-in assistant builds the jobs, the schedule and the failure handling for you to review on the canvas. On every plan, including Free.

Unlimited runs

Plans count the jobs you define, not how often they fire. A job that touches Outlook every hour costs the same as one that runs once a month.

Credentials encrypted locally

Keys and tokens are AES-256-GCM encrypted in a local database, referenced from jobs by name and masked out of logs and run output.

Questions

Outlook automation, answered

Can Cronable read and send Outlook email?

Yes. It lists and reads messages in any folder, sends mail, lists folders and calls other Microsoft Graph mail endpoints.

Does it work with Outlook Calendar too?

Yes. The Outlook Calendar job lists events and calendars, gets an event and creates events, including ones with a Teams meeting link.

How does Cronable connect to Microsoft 365?

With OAuth through an app registered in your Microsoft Entra tenant. You connect once, and Cronable stores the tokens encrypted on your own machine and refreshes them for you.

Can a new Outlook email start a workflow?

There is no Outlook trigger. A scheduled job that lists messages received since its last run, using a filter, does the same job every hour or every morning.

Does Cronable store my Microsoft password?

No. It stores OAuth tokens only, encrypted in the local credential store, and masks them in logs.

Anything you do twice in Outlook is cronable.

If you file the same emails by hand every week, the filing is cronable.
