Google Calendar automation that runs before the meeting does.
A calendar knows what is about to happen; Cronable acts on it. A trigger fires a set number of minutes before each event, so the brief, the reminder or the setup task happens on time, and jobs can read upcoming events or add new ones.
A Google Calendar workflow on the canvas
Each card is one job. A wire means the next job runs when the one before it succeeds, or when it fails.

Actions
Steps a workflow can take in Google Calendar.List upcoming events
Read the events in a look-ahead window, from an hour to 90 days, optionally only certain kinds such as focus time or out of office.
Create an event
Add an event with a title, description, start and end, filled from earlier steps.
Triggers
What starts a Google Calendar workflow. Before an event starts
Calendar watch starts one run per timed event, a lead time you choose before it begins (15 minutes by default, up to a day). The event itself is the run’s output.
Google Calendar workflows worth automating first
Meeting-ready briefs
Calendar watch fires before each meeting, Claude drafts the likely purpose, smart questions and what to have ready, and Slack or email delivers it.
Appointment reminders
A day before each appointment, send the client a reminder by email or SMS with the time and address.
Daily agenda
At 7am, list today’s events and send a one-message agenda to Telegram, so the day starts without opening the calendar.
Bookings onto the calendar
When a reservation or form response comes in, create a calendar event with the details so the team sees it alongside everything else.
How you connect
Connecting Google Calendar
Google Calendar uses a service account: no consent screen and no Google verification.
- 1Create a service account in Google Cloud and download its JSON key once.
- 2Store the key as a Google service account credential in Cronable.
- 3Share your calendar with the service account’s email address. Read access is enough for the trigger; creating events needs permission to make changes.
Your Google Calendar automation, on your own machine
Runs on your own machine
Install Cronable as a Mac or Windows app, or on a server you own. Your Google Calendar jobs, secrets and run history stay on that machine by default.
Built from one sentence
Describe the workflow in plain English and the built-in assistant builds the jobs, the schedule and the failure handling for you to review on the canvas. On every plan, including Free.
Unlimited runs
Plans count the jobs you define, not how often they fire. A job that touches Google Calendar every hour costs the same as one that runs once a month.
Credentials encrypted locally
Keys and tokens are AES-256-GCM encrypted in a local database, referenced from jobs by name and masked out of logs and run output.
Google Calendar automation, answered
Can a calendar event trigger a workflow?
Yes. Calendar watch starts a run a chosen number of minutes before each timed event begins, with the event’s title, time and description available to the next step.
Do I need to verify an OAuth app with Google?
No. Calendar jobs authenticate as a service account, which has no consent screen. You share the calendar with the account’s email, the same way you share it with a person.
Where is the service account key stored?
Encrypted in the credential store on your own machine. The whole key, private key included, is masked in logs and output.
Can Cronable create calendar events?
Yes. Create an event takes a title, description, start and end, so a booking, form or AI step can put something on the calendar.
Does it skip all-day events?
The trigger fires for timed events. You can also limit it to certain event types, such as default meetings or focus time.
Anything you do twice in Google Calendar is cronable.
If you prepare for meetings the same way every time, the preparing is cronable.
